Shushing loud phones inside the Liquidrom steam

A real situation from the OGIMA community · Everyday Berlin

The scene

You sit on the hot tile with three strangers and a man in the corner scrolls through a noisy video. Someone across the room clears their throat loudly, the German version of a warning shot.

Why this moment is tricky in Germany

Liquidrom and the broader German Sauna culture is explicit about silence and phones are technically forbidden in the wet areas; the polite-but-firm shush is the standard correction before staff get called. In sauna cultures that allow phones or swimwear, the tension doesn't surface the same way.

Rehearse it before it happens

This situation is practised out loud in OGIMA: you speak, an AI conversation partner answers back, and you rerun it until the real thing feels routine.
